GreenRoc secures exploration licence extension in Greenland

(Sharecast News) - GreenRoc Mining announced on Wednesday that the Greenland government has approved the extension of its exclusive mineral exploration licence 2022-03. The AIM-traded firm said the approved enlargement incorporated the remaining ground within the Nanortalik Graphite District, recognised for its high-grade graphite mineralisation.

It said the expansion effectively enlarged the licence area from 68 square kilometres to 114 square kilometres, providing GreenRoc with increased access to potential mineral resources.

"We welcome the approval of our application to bring the highly prospective ground east of the town of Nanortalik under our exclusive licence area," said chief executive officer Stefan Bernstein.

"GreenRoc now has all of the Nanortalik Graphite District under licence - a district with extensive high-grade natural flake graphite mineralisation which is easily accessible via deep, ice-free tidal waters."

At 1156 BST, GreenRoc Mining shares were down 0.28% at 1.6p.
