Investment objective
The aim of the Fund is to provide a return on investor's investment (generated through an increase in the value of the assets held by the Fund) (gross of fees) over the long term (5 or more consecutive years beginning at the point of investment) by investing in shares of smaller companies incorporated or listed in the UK. In seeking to achieve its investment objective, the Fund will invest at least 70% of its total assets in the equities (i.e. shares) and equity related investments (i.e. other investments whose value is related to equities) of smaller companies incorporated or listed in the UK which are considered in the opinion of the Investment Manager to have above-average growth prospects. Smaller companies are those whose market capitalisations (market capitalisation is the share price of the company multiplied by the number of shares issued) are similar to that of companies in the Numis Smaller Companies plus AiM ex-Investment Trusts Index at the time of the Fund’s investment.
