Investment objective
The objective of the Fund is to achieve capital growth delivering average annual investment returns (total returns, net of fees) of at least RPI + 3.0% over the long term (which is defined as a five to seven year investment cycle). Capital invested in the Fund is at risk. The Fund will be actively managed and in normal market conditions, at least 70% of the assets of the Fund will be invested in a mixture of shares and fixed income securities (including government and corporate bonds). The allocation to shares and fixed income securities will vary in response to market conditions. However, at least 65% of the assets of the Fund will typically be invested in shares. Such exposure may be achieved directly or indirectly via collective investment schemes managed by third party managers.

Hector joined Brooks Macdonald in 2020 and leads the global, risk managed funds team where he is responsible for the investment performance of these mandates and promoting an unconstrained, active investment philosophy.Prior to this, Hector worked at Cornelian Asset Managers, before its acquisition by Brooks Macdonald, where he was the Chief Investment Officer and was responsible the performance of all their mandates. Hector joined Cornelian from Scottish Value Management where he managed the SVM UK Alpha fund. Previously, he worked at Standard Life Investments and was a key member of the Continental European equities team.Hector has an MBA in Strategic Management from Imperial College Business School and over 25 years' experience in financial services.

David joined Brooks Macdonald in 2020 and is jointly responsible for managing the risk managed multi-asset fund solutions. Prior to this, David worked at Cornelian Asset Managers, before its acquisition by Brooks Macdonald, where he joined the investment team in 2013 and helped to develop the firm’s risk managed multi-asset fund proposition to financial advisors. He also worked for 10 years at Alder Investment Management, a London-based family office, and has 17 years’ experience in financial services.David studied Economics at the University of Edinburgh before obtaining an MSc in International Banking & Finance from Heriot Watt University. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
