Our view
The FP CRUX European Special Situations Fund is managed by Richard Pease and James Milne. The objective is to achieve long term capital growth by investing in European (excluding the UK) equities of companies in special situations.
Milne and Pease look for the best companies in Europe: those with strong competitive advantages, low capital intensity, competent management teams, and conservative valuations.
In particular, the managers like dividend-paying firms which can grow by making acquisitions, rather than by relying on the rise of the broader economy.
