Investment objective
To generate growth over the long term (5 years or more) by investing in US and Canadian small and mid-capitalisation equities (company shares). The fund will invest at least 70% in equities and equity related securities of small and mid-capitalisation companies listed, incorporated or domiciled in the United States of America (US) and Canada or companies that derive a significant proportion of their revenues or profits from US or Canadian operations or have a significant proportion of their assets there.

Christopher Colarik is a Senior Investment Director responsible for US Small and Smid Cap strategies. Chris joins abrdn after having spent over two decades at Glenmede Investment Management as a portfolio manager on the Small Cap Equity strategy. Prior to joining Glenmede in 1997, he was at Brandywine Asset Management, now Brandywine Global. Chris earned a BS in Economics from the University of Delaware. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.

As Senior Vice-President, US Equities, Scott Eun is the lead portfolio manager of the Standard Life US Dividend Growth Fund in addition to our US equity portfolios.
Scott joined Standard Life Investments (USA) Limited in 2007. Prior to this, he was Senior Vice-President at a global financial services firm where he was involved with managing an internal portfolio of equities. He has over 14 years of industry experience.
Scott holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania (major Finance) and graduated cum laude with a B.A. (Economics) from Harvard Uni.
