Investment objective

The Fund aims to achieve capital growth over the long term. It also looks to outperform the S&P 500 Index over rolling 3-year periods, after the deduction of charges. The Fund is actively managed, and invests at least 75% of its assets in shares of companies domiciled in the United States of America (US), or which have significant US business operations.

Benedikt Blomberg is a portfolio analyst on the U.S. Equities Team at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. Prior to his current role, Mr. Blomberg was a senior analyst for centralized fundamental research, responsible for analyzing stocks in the defense and auto sectors. Mr. Blomberg joined one of the Columbia Threadneedle Investments legacy firms in 2005. Previously, Mr. Blomberg was a quantitative programmer and trader for Fort Orange Capital Management. Mr. Blomberg began his career as an analyst with Paradigm Capital Management. He has been a member of the investment community since 1996. Mr. Blomberg received a B.S. from the University of Muenster, in Germany, and an M.S. from Union College. He is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and the CFA Institute. In addition, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
