Our view

person-circle-filled

The Fidelity Enhanced Income Fund is managed by Michael Clark and David Jehan and aims to achieve income, with the potential for some capital growth, from a portfolio made up mainly of the securities of UK companies.

Clark uses a 'covered call' strategy to deliver income beyond what is offered by the FTSE All Share Index.

In building the Fidelity Enhanced Income portfolio, Clark follows the same time-tested approach as that of the Fidelity MoneyBuilder Dividend Fund, which he also manages. His primary concern is providing 'safety of income at a reasonable price or SIRP'. This manifests itself in a preference for undervalued, high quality businesses which not only pay strong dividends, but also grow them from year to year.
