Investment objective
The aim of the Fund is to provide capital appreciation over the long term (5 years or more) by investing in dividend growth companies. The Fund invests in listed global equities. The Fund aims to invest in a portfolio of approximately 60-100 companies which have high levels of profitability and cash generation, consistent re-investment, low levels of debt and prudent governance in order to deliver the investment objective. The Investment Adviser will perform research to identify shares in companies that provide this. To the extent that the Fund is not fully invested in the asset class listed above, investments may be made in money market instruments, deposits, cash and near cash. Such investments are not intended to be more than 10% in aggregate of the value of the Fund.

Fund manager biography
Following a two-year spell working in local government, Alan's investment career began in 1980 in the Edinburgh office of ICFC, a UK private equity group. In 1982 he joined Ivory & Sime Plc, initially to manage global technology stocks funds before moving to its UK equity team, and then becoming the director in charge of its inititutional business. In 1993 he moved to London to run GAM's inititutional business. in 2001 he returned to Edinburgh to become CEO of Walter Scott & Partners Ltd, leading the firm before and after its acquisition by BNY Mellon in 2006. He left at the end of 2009.

Russell spent 17 years at Aegon Asset Management UK becoming CIO in 1995 and thereafter CEO with responsibility for GBP33 billion. He joined Dundas as a Director at inception, becoming a full-time member of the team in April 2012. Russell is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and holds a degree in Economics from Strathclyde University and an MBA from the Open University Business School. He sits on the investment committment of True Potential and is a Trustee Director for the Aegon UK Staff Pension Scheme.
