Our view
Why we like the fund:
This fund invests primarily in companies across developed markets such as the UK, US, Europe and Japan. There are minor allocations to emerging markets. The fund is run by a seasoned investor, with decades of experience of implementing this investment approach. It invests across a broad range of companies and so offers a well-balanced investment style. The manager has an extensive pool of company researchers to help guide his investments. His focus can therefore be on selecting the best ideas.
How to use the fund:
This fund is a useful addition to any portfolio. It should be viewed as being a riskier component of an overall allocation and clients will need to invest for the long term (ten years or more). The manager is flexible in his approach, which suggests that the fund may do well in different market environments. This fund may also blend well with passive strategies such as the Legal & General Global Equity Index Fund.
