Acuity RM appoints new finance director
(Sharecast News) - Governance, risk and compliance software specialist Acuity RM Group announced the appointment of Katherine Buchan ACA as its finance director on Friday, effective immediately. The AIM-traded firm said Buchan, a chartered accountant with more than 25 years of experience, would bring extensive expertise in financial controls, governance, and process improvement.
Her background included senior roles in the finance functions of Lloyds Banking Group and Credit Suisse, where she managed complex products, processes, and organisational structures while ensuring high-quality financial reporting.
Buchan joined Acuity at the end of November last year.
"We are delighted that Kate has joined us," said executive chairman Angus Forrest.
"In the last six months she has managed the finance function, prepared the statutory accounts and managed the audit including all the changes resulting from acquisition of Acuity.
"We look forward to working with her for the longer term when she will bring additional commercial awareness to improve the business performance."
At 0832 BST, shares in Acuity RM were down 3% at 3.88p.
