Petards subsidiary receives order from UK police force

(Sharecast News) - Security and surveillance systems developer Petards Group has received an order from one of the UK's largest police forces. Petards revealed on Monday that its QRO Solution subsidiary had won the order, worth around £350,000, adding a new police force to its list of customers.

The AIM-listed group stated the order was for the supply of QRO's Q-Box Merlin IP in-vehicle ANPR solution with high-definition DVRs, which the end customer will be fitting to a number of vehicles in its fleet.

Petards added that the order was expected to be fully delivered during 2024.

Chairman Raschid Abdullah said: ""We are delighted to add this police force to the list of customers who have selected QRO's ANPR solutions, further building upon QRO's position in the UK as a leading supplier of ANPR technologies.

"It is very pleasing to see QRO making such a strong start to 2024, with this order following so soon after the recently announced £400,000 order for its new Harrier AI camera."

As of 1030 GMT, Petards shares had surged 26.15% to 7.38p.
