FTSE 250 movers: Bytes Technology rallies on update; Centamin falls
(Sharecast News) - London's FTSE 250 was up 3.1% at 20,893.03 in afternoon trade on Wednesday. Fidelity China Special Solutions was sitting pretty at the top of the index after China pledged to support financial markets.
Software and cloud services specialist Bytes Technology rallied after it hailed "another upbeat year" as it said results were ahead of expectations. In an update on trading in the year to 28 February 2022, the group said it saw double-digit growth in its three key financial performance metrics with accelerated growth in the second half of the year.
Drinks maker C&C Group fizzed higher as it said it had finished its 2022 trading year with a "robust return to trading", driven by strong consumer demand.
Computacenter rose as it hiked its full-year dividend and said it had delivered double-digit revenue and profit growth in 2021.
On the downside, gold miner Centamin lost its shine as its full-year profits missed expectations.
