Darktrace appoints non-exec director as new COO

(Sharecast News) - Cybersecurity group Darktrace has appointed non-executive director Jill Popelka as its new chief operating officer following the resignation of Nick Trim from that role earlier this year. Popelka previously served as head of enterprise services at social media platform Snap and president of enterprise software firm SAP SuccessFactors.

She will be responsible for implementing operational best practices at Darktrace "as the business continues to mature and scale", the company said in a statement on Thursday.

Popelka will have to formally resign from the board as a non-exec director to join the executive management team.

Darktrace is among the two firms expected to be promoted to the FTSE 100 when the latest quarterly reshuffle happens next week, having soared more than 71% over the year to date, giving it a market cap of £4.1bn.
