Thursday preview: US producer prices, US Treasury auctions in focus
(Sharecast News) - The market spotlight on Thursday will continue to be on the US inflation picture. At 1230 BST the Department of Labor will release producer price data for May.
Those figures will help economists anticipate the behaviour of so-called PCE inflation - the Fed's preferred inflation gauge - during the same month.
Also due out, at the same time, will be the latest batch of weekly unemployment claims figures in the States.
Investors will also be keeping an eye out for the latest US Treasury auction results for 4-week bills and 30-year bonds.
No major economic reports are scheduled in the UK.
