Investment objective
To secure long-term capital and income growth from a portfolio consisting mainly of FTSE All-Share companies. The Company can also have exposure to leading overseas companies, with the value of the non-UK portfolio not exceeding 10% of the gross assets of Company. In pursuing this objective, the Company is exposed to financial risks which could result in a reduction of either or both of the NAV and the profits available for distribution by way of dividend.

Lead fund manager biography
Julian Cane is a portfolio manager in the UK Equities team. He joined Columbia Threadneedle through the acquisition of BMO GAM (EMEA) in 2021, having previously been with BMO (and its predecessor companies) since 1993. He became the Fund Manager for the CT UK Capital & Income Investment Trust in 1997, the role which he still fulfils today. Julian is deputy manager on CT (Lux) UK Equities and the CT UK Fund, as well as manager on a number of institutional mandates. Prior to joining the group, he worked for Mitsubishi Bank in Corporate Finance and Treasury.
