Investment objective
The Company will invest in a diversified portfolio consisting primarily of equity and equity-related securities issued by unquoted companies. Investments will be primarily in equity and equity-related instruments (which shall include, without limitation, preference shares, convertible debt instruments, equity-related and equity-linked notes and warrants) issued by portfolio companies. The Company will also be permitted to invest in partnerships, limited liability partnerships and other legal forms of entity where the investment has equity like return characteristics.

Richard is the Chief Investment Officer of BMO Global Asset Management, and the CIO for Europe the Middle East and Africa. Richard is a board member of three group companies including the BMO Asset Management Netherlands B.V., and a member of the Investment Committee of the Investment Association, the Trade Association for Asset management in the U.K. Previous roles in Richards career with the Group and predecessor companies include: co-Head of Investment for BMO GAM EMEA, Head of Fixed Income, Head of Investment Solutions, and Head of Liability Driven Investment. Richard joined the company in 2005 after eight years at the Investment Bank JP Morgan where he worked in the interest rate derivative business both in London and New York. Richard holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Exeter.
